Kathy Berry
: I graduated in 2003 from DCCC. I strive to provide guests with the most accurate and helpful information by offering relaxing facials catered to your individual skin care needs. My favorite part of facials is the massage and my waxing motto is “if you can grow it, I can wax it.” When not at work, I enjoy any outdoor activity, spending time with my husband, and playing with my puppy Piddles.

Ally Volpe
: I am very passionate about being a stylist. I’ve been in the industry for going on 10 years, all of which have been with Aveda. I love working with a company that is so driven to care for the world we live in. I do both color and cutting but specialize in color. Through my career with Aveda I have become a hair color professional and travel the U.S to teach Advanced Academy color classes to artists already in the field. I am also Utopia’s Artistic Director and head up all of our training and advanced education. I work with a phenomenally talented team and look forward to meeting you and making you look and feel your most beautiful you!

Amanda Goodin
: My passion as a hairdresser is to make everyone look and feel amazing. I am just as passionate about the Aveda products and try to live up to the Aveda mission statement. I am a graduate of the Aveda Institute of Charlotte and look forward to serving each and every one of you.

Dee Grimes
: Trained at the Aveda Institute in Charlotte, I want my clients to have the ultimate spa experience – to relax and de-stress. I especially enjoy sharing my knowledge of Aveda products, the effects of those products on various skin types, and teaching my clients how to properly care for their skin. Outside the spa, I enjoy family time, especially my nieces and nephews. I like to travel, read, and watch college pro games. I am also very involved in my church and I enjoy going on mission trips to help others.

Ashley King
: I have been a licensed esthetician for six years, and a licensed manicurist for five years. I received my license at Leon’s Cosmetology, and Dudley’s Cosmetology. I knew right out of high school this is what I wanted to do. It is my passion, and my guests have told me that I have a very gentle and nurturing touch. It is my goal to make each guest feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and beautiful from the inside out.

Debby Ligh
t: A career in hospitality and a passion for change made my decision to become a hairstylist an easy one. I’m definitely an extravert and being able to listen to my clients and interpret their wishes has given me a loyal client following. Coming to Aveda after seven years in this industry provides me with the opportunity to learn new techniques and refine my existing skills.

Hollie Lowery
: With six years experience in cosmetology, I’ve been working at Utopia for a little over four and a half years. I specialize in hand and foot care. My goal with each guest is to make them look and feel their very best. I believe that everyone has a unique story to tell, deserves to treat themselves, and that we are to take care of those we love. If you’re looking for someone who will take their time with you and who will call you by name and not by number, I am here for you.

Sarah Watson
: The art of hairstyling seems to run in my family and is something I pretty much knew I wanted to do as a career. I began cosmetology classes at the career center in high school, and continued at The Fila Academy in High Point, NC. The space of time in between the two schools was occupied by my getting married and having a baby girl, who was born April 16, 2008. During my last few months at the Fila Academy, I found Utopia with the help of their admissions leader, and began training under Ally Volpe two months before graduation. Color is my true passion, especially when paired with a great cut. I love seeing the transformation of a guest and helping people look and feel their best.

Tamara LaMontagne
(Stylist)- I am a third generation hair stylist and I have spent the majority of my life inside salons.  I received my license nearly eight years ago, and have participated in several advanced training programs, including a brief stint learning specialized cutting techniques in New York.  To me, the most important facet of a hair service is a mutual understanding between the stylist and guest.  I feel that together we can create something truly beautiful.

Lauren Weaver
(Front Desk Coordinator)- I have been with Aveda for four years and I'm very passionate about their products and what they stand for. I love ensuring that every person who walks into Utopia leaves feeling as though they are a member of our family and anticipates their next visit.

Miranda Winters(

Courtney Bates
(Front Desk Coordinator)- I have been with Aveda for three years and love working with an extremely talented and fun team.  I am very passionate about great customer service, ensuring guests feel at home the moment they walk in the door, and making sure they leave looking and feeling their best.

Autumn Pinnix
(Massage Therapist)- I am a graduate of the Living Arts Institute's Massage Therapy program.  The most rewarding part of my career is when a guest tells me that my work has made a difference in their quality of life.  When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and three children and practicing yoga.

Angela Petro
(Stylist)- My whole life, I've known that my personal calling was to become a hairstylist.  Having a very outgoing personality, I have loved forming relationships with my co-workers and guests.  I have worked as a stylist for one year and love the fact that we are always growing and learning as a company.  Prior to my job at Utopia, I worked for the corporate side of Aveda for five years.  I feel privileged to work for such an amazing brand that gives back to the environment.  Styling hair brings joy to my heart , and I plan on staying in this industry for the rest of my life!

Becky Mariani
(Front Desk Coordinator)- I've been working with Aveda for just a short time, but already I've been inspired to pursue a career with their company.  Working the front desk at Utopia has prepared me so much for this industry and made me realize how passionate I am about being a stylist.  I look forward to helping each guest with their appointments and ensuring that they look and feel their best after enjoying their time here at Utopia.

Glenn Greenstein
(Stylist)- My hair artistry has been illuminating the beauty potential in women for thirty years.  My journey in this industry began in Miami, Florida, and I enjoy showing my creativity through various coloring techniques.  I would love to successfully guide you through a total makeover on your next excursion to Utopia Salon & Day Spa.
